Default I'm going upgrade my stock 535i brakes soon. Master brake cylinder question?

Getting e34 540i brakes for the front and rear soon. New pads and rotors, used calipers. ETK shows the master brake cylinder and the expansion tank from the bmw e34 535i to be different from the 540i.

I know that you don't need a the 540i brake cylinder for the brakes to work on a 535, but is is worth upgrading the master brake cylinder? Price does not really matter for a new unit, I want great stopping brakes

    Regards

    Kristian

Forget about the master cylinder. Your BEST upgrade is to go for E32/750 front caliper and rotor and E34/540 rear caliper and rotors. They are bolt on once you replace the front caliper carrier. I had this combo on my 535 and it was the best stopping track setup I've ever had.

Actually, the 850ci brakes, according to Bruno's site, do 730+ ft/lbs of torque and are a better combo for the rear 540's.

I'm going to M5 brakes in the next few weeks. Should be fun

    Best, whit
