change oil in transmision ?

Hey guy i want to ask my friend to change oil in my transmission tomorrow i was just wondering if the oil filter that i have to change for transmition is the same for all e34 of any year

nope they are year/engine specific

If it's for the 525i listed on your account, and it's an automatic, you've got a 4hp-22. Make sure to get a QUALITY filter for that thing. The cheapies don't hold up...and then you've got a blown transmission, which sucks.
