Hi guys.Newbie here visiting from an e24 site.E34 head on '85

I was wondering if anybody knows about putting an E-34 head on a '85 3.5?
Mine is a UK spec,10:1 compression.The E34's over here (Australia) run a lower compression.Can anyone tell me if they alter the compression in the combustion chamber or in the piston crown? Thanks in anticipation-Steve.

On the US models, putting an E34 head on an E28/E24 engine will lower compression by close to one point. I'm pretty sure the same would happen on the euro engines too, IIRC they share a head and differ only by cam and piston (the E24/28 engines that is).

Looks like they would need a bit of work to use them.
