cold vibrations

Hi All
I have a 93 540i auto with 122k and on the first drive of the day I get a noise from the gearbox sounds a bit like a gritty whine/wearing noise like a pump or bearing running dry, does'nt last long but I also get a vibration/juddering as well but at a higher speed around 50 when she has warmed up everthing seems fine, sometimes also when cold she holds on to gear before changing up and dose'nt seem to have the usual pull, all this though as I said is on the first cold drive of the day only after that no probs......any ideas any one..........

Start with a tranny flush and filter change. Inspect guibo. Be sure to re torque oil pump, and throughly inspect oil.

the trans will hold gears longer when cold to help warm it up faster.
