I have no experience with the manuals myself, but I'd check the simple things first: when was the last time the fuel filter was changed?
Nice clear day the other day, roads where dry. Decided to take the car for a spin (local, highway). Did some shopping, all is great. Then I dropped my wife at the grocery store and when I went to started the car (which it started right away) when I engaged the clutch it stalled. I restarted the car but every time I engaged the clutch it would stall. Again I started the car this time keeping an eye on the tach (when it started it would go to 1000rpm and drop to 800rpm). Next I try to rev the engine but nothing, I even floored the pedal and it would go to 1000rpm. Called CAA for a tow home. Once home I start the car and everything seemed to be fine. I suspect that my fuel pump may be on its way out but could it be something else?![]()

so if you floor it, you only get like 1000rpm out of it? Sounds like a bad fuel pump or clogged filter, i'd start with teh filter since it's cheaper. Also check Throttle Position Switch.
