tonight i pulled my brothers isuzu trooper out of the snow with my 540i/a.
of coarse his 4 wheel drive was not working, but he got no where with just the 2 rear wheels.
i have a feeling this won't be the last tow i do.

Thats cool...LOL...I was justy commenting earlier....we had A snowstorm This past weekend....and My 5251 1991 was All over the place....I guess My having 4 wheel drive vehicles has spoiled me my whole life....are thjese cars WELL KNOWN for GOOD snow operation?...or BAD?
When I sold my 4x4 F150 I got 4 Michelin Arctic Alpin (studless snow/ice tires) and I don't miss the truck. (except when the snow gets a foot high)Originally Posted by GAGE308

My 535i is great in the snow as long as I throw on the 4 snows. With the 5 speed & LSD its the best rear drive car in the snow I've owned. I haven't even had to add weight in the trunk.
it is most definetly the best rear wheel drive vehicle i have owned for driving in snow.
