lubricating blower fan

Hey all,

I've owned my 1991 525i for about 8 months and I love it to death. It's perfect in (almost) every way, but I need to fix the horribly squeeky blower fan. How do I get at this sucker to lubricate it?

sadly i dont think lubing it will work. I had no luck with mine, the squeaking you hear is the brushes, or lack thereof. I was thinking about rebuilding my old blower motor by installing a new set of brushes, because that seemed to be where the noise came from.
