I'll wave as I pass over...heading through Houston, then on down to Leon Mexico, then a 2-hour car ride to the plant...yuck. I haven't even left and I'm already ready to come home!

My company has a manufacturing plant in Queretaro, Mexico, about 3 hours by car north of Mexico City. We were one of the first plants to go into a new industrial park in that city of over 1 million people. I haven't been down since August of 2003, and I found that there are some new tenants in the park. One of them being Mann+Hummel. Yes, that Mann. As in Mann filters. So the next time you do an oil change, see if the box says Made in Mexico. If so, I know EXACTLY where in Mexico they're talking about. I tried to line up a plant tour, but I was too busy and there just wasn't time.
