Default Weird engine at start up!!! ....

May be some engine guru may help with this question. A neighbor friend has a Mitsubishi MF (Like a Galant but with fuel injection). Every time he starts it cold in the morning (remember cold here is about 18 degrees C) the engine starts but hesitates for about 6 to 10 seconds, then normalizes and rise up idle. Start up fine every other time it is started along the day . Next morning will also repeat the story.

Is it not holding fuel pressure? Why does it along the day? Will a vacuum leak be solved so quickly after start? Temperature sensor may be, but solved in 10 secs? Your input will be greatly appreciated.

Is it not holding fuel pressure? This is very possible it might be just a pin hole in a pipe so it would loose pressure over night and take that long to effect the fuel pressure the next morning, once car started next day it holds the pressure "check for wet fuel lines and connections" also vacuum lines for cracks

could be a leaky fuel injector, check it by hooking up a fuel pressure gauge, run the engine and turn it off whith the gauge conected and read the pressure , the system should hold the pressure for at lest 10 minutes if you loose pressure and all the lines are in good shape chances are one of the injectors is leaking.
