my friends '97 e36 328is has a passenger seat that is stuck.. it can not move forward to let a passenger in. has anyone got an idea how to fix this?

it's usually a coin or pen stuck in the track if the motor is working or a manual seat

well i mean the seat "back" doesn't lean forward so that you can't let a person get in the back...

ahhh i should of read closer, a cable is probably out of place, you gotta pop the back off of the seat to see the wires they look like bicycle brake/shifter cables without the sheath

Did it work? My driver's seat reclines just fine, but it does not come back up. It moves up and down, as well as forward and backward okay. What could be the problem?
