hell now i am not sure, 9006 h1 h3 all common fog light bulbs

H1 is the best... While we're on the topic, I recently completely disassembled my foglights, ran the parts through the dishwasher, and put them back together, now my fogs are so clean they're actually brighter than my low-beams! The beam doesn't travel as far/high of course... Must do the low-beams next.

just kidding, there is no hurry, but
according to my bmw manual i have
h3 bulbs in my fogs (usa spec, non ellipsoid 9/90 production)
yet when i went to look it turned out i have 9006 bulbs
in my fogs.

so i went to spp and ordered thier 80 watt yellow fogs
i'll take some pics tonight =]


what do u have in your fogs?

My manual says H1. So after buying two H1 bulbs, I open the light and I have 9006. 3/92 production.

Must do the low-beams next.

had to replace one of my bulbs the other day,just a new 55w bulb made a big diffrence,the new bulb is noticeaby brighter and wider beamed than the old(had a coupla new bulbs lying around otherwise would have gone for 30 or 50 plus

I can actually see a film of dirt inside my headlights, so when I clean them out, I might replace the bulbs too! I wonder what those super-white +30 or +50 bulbs are actually like... I saw them at Repco, and a standard bulb was $13, but the fancy ones were over $20...

do the hedlights actually come apart?I was gonna do the dishwaher thing or i think one of the aussies had some concotion of water kerosene and detergent.Try the cleaning first you may be pleased with that....I think the 30 and 50 do give more light without the risks associated with higher wattages.
