    Default manipulation dot

Anyone have any more info on the manipulation Dot on the mileage display LCD?

    When does this illuminate?

Default On models produced after 2/89 this applies, the bottom line is what you want.

    Default

It only lights up when the odometer reading is reprogrammed, like when someone uses one of those U.K. laptop-based interfaces to reset the mileage to anything they want.

Swapping the coding plug or instrument cluster will not cause the dot to illuminate as there's nothing to notify the coding plug that it's in a different vehicle.

    Cheers,

    David
