Can I clean the ICV without taking off the intake manifold since the ICV is located beneath it? Can I just spray some throttle body cleaner in through the throttle body ?

you really need to be able to spray the solvent into the valve to disolve and flush out the gummy deposits that interfear with it's operation
all america wants is cold beer warm cat and a place to take a poop with a door on it
I looked up in the bentleys and it said that if I put a load on the system (such as turning on the AC) the rpm's should increase. I did that test but my rpm's decreased and then came back to normal. Does that mean that the icv is faulty? I had a hard time starting my car in the morning but when I eventually got it started it idled fine for a couple seconds and then died. Could my problem be the ICV? I checked the MAF, temp sensor, and throttle position switch.Originally Posted by winfred
