SRS Light flashing

This is for my dad's 91 525i. What are some of the possible problems ? Does it just need to be reset, and can it be done without taking to the $tealer ?

Hi,

On my 92 I had the same thing about 4 years ago. It can be one of several sensors that has gone bad, or it could be just a blink in the system.

I think I reset mine by disconnecting the battery for awhile. It never returned so I didn't worrry about it after that.

I'm no expert, so you might want to refer to advice from one of the grand masters.
