Default Changing air filter - Which side to remove

Sorry to ask such a dumb question but is it easier to remove the front air box or the pipe behind it?

WIth my 535iA I unclip the 4 clips and loosen the hose clamp around the pipe where it joins the MAF. Whole top and pipe just lift up (and off if you want).
