I gots ma mojo workin'. My 1992 525i is closing in on 174,000 miles. One would think after that much mileage some things would start to wear. I ordered all the drive belt pullies and belt tensioners from Pat at BMA and replaced them. They were all worn. However, I still had one noise that was driving me nuts!! Arrrgggh! After just shutting off the engine with the hood up I noticed the noise. It sounded like dice in a cup and appeared to be eminating from the fan area. After it stopped I grabbed the fan blade and sure enough there was all kinds of play in the declutching fan bearing. It would not do this cold. I ordered a new decluthing fan bearing from Pat and voila....no more drive belt rattlin' blues!!
Speaking of the blues, I just saw Coco Montoya at the new World Life Cafe in Philly. What a state of the art place to see a concert in a small venue (seats 350 at tables for dinner). Coco was just knocked out by this place. Check it out at www.worldcafelive.com.
you replaced the fan cluth or some bearing?
