    Default LKM work help!

    Gentlemen:
I have a 91 525i M-50 and wish to remove the LKModule to re-solder some of the low beam light contracts.
I'm stumped because I can't simply pull the LKM out. Is there a trick to get the module out.
Once out how do you take it apart to solder the contacts, please.
PS I'm working in it right now!
Regards & and remember to wear a poppy!

    Hi Helm,
Try this link on Bruno's site, http://www.bmwe34.net/e34main/mainte...trical/LKM.htm
I found it very useful for doing this solder job. You might have to just pull up harder on that LKM module. I remember mine was kinda tight at first.
    Good luck,
    Jon

It is hard yes... what I did is pull from one side then the other side... wiggle as you go up.
