Default ESD Regelt & Brake LT Circuit msg woes

I have looked to no avail for the answer, so I thought I would ask the experts. 92 525i 5-speed, 161k miles, JC chip. For probably the last year I have gotten intermitent Brake LT circuit msg, I replaced bulbs, checked sockets & replaced brake light switch with no effect. For 6 months I have also been getting the ESD Regelt msg. In the past 2 weeks both have become constant.

Where to look? I have seen somewhere it might be a check control module, but I don't know where it is or how to test.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Default Thanks - where is this module located (more)

Is it listed in the Bently? If so I can check when I get home, otherwise a location would be great. Is it in the dash or under the back seat like the alarm system.

    Have a good one,
