They're not feaux... assembled in mexico yes, but design and counter models are in germany... does that mean E46's are feaux german cars, being made Spartanburg NC?
are still made in germany, the X5 and the Z3 and Z4 were/are made in SC
Actually, while the plant in Spartanburg is physically located in Spartanburg, the latest issue of Roundel (I think) had an aticle that denoted the actual plant as not technically a part of American soil, kind of like a free trade zone. This is one of the reasons BMW is free to use either the US manufacturer or German Manufacturer VIN numbers on the cars that come from that plant.
