As the Fall is in full swing, our Model A touring season is drawing to a close. Time to start focusing on parades! We had a great little (41 mile) tour to a state park in Southeastern NC Saturday called Raven Rock. Right on the Cape Fear River, firmly in the Sandhills. Our club from Raleigh is spread all over Wake County, so everyone fended for themselves in choosing their route. I took old highways that are seldom traveled anymore, but offer fantastic scenery. Three Model A's traveled over 100 miles from Mt. Airy NC (home of Andy Griffith). The showstopper was seeing 22 Model A's from the Fayetteville Region arrive nose-to-tail in a big conga line. Fantastic day, I just hate I didn't have the forethought to charge my camera batteries before heading out.
Let's see if this link thing works. As you can see, I enjoy taking pictures from behind the wheel while on the road. Nothing safer!
Enjoy!
