your indy cant reset the SRS light, has to be dealer only as far as I ever heard.
Ok, I think I scewed up.. I was cleaning the interior on my 540i this weekend and when I was done I started it up to put it back in the garage. I immediatly noticed that the SRS light was staying on. (it stays on at startup and goes away after a couple minutes) I did a quick search on the board and read something about how moisture getting into the seatbelt buckle could cause this..I'm betting this was the cause, although I suppose it's possible something could have gotten in at the wheel.
Is there anything I can do aobut this myself aside from hoping it goes away? I'll prolly have to take this to my indy won't I?
Thanks,
Dennis

This happened to me when I sprayed off the engine bay and got the airbag sensors wet with water. They are the little orange things above the front left and right wheel wells. They simply reset the SRS light after making sure nothing is wrong. Quickie!
My indy did it. To hell with the stealer!
