Is the Alpine TR1003 6-disk changer compatible with this head unit from a 1996 E36:


The changer is from a 1997 3-series, and the head unit from a 1996, so I'm hoping they will work together. Only problem is that there's no data cable with the changer... I'm sure a wrecker can supply one.
