Default pics of me at advanced driving school at Mosport this weekend

I just got back from a 2 day advanced driving school, and the first time I've driven the M5 on a bigger track. (I was at a small driver training track in July)

    Here are some pictures :

    sweet!

The 18" rims are not "too big" for the track purposes?

    What track is this?

I would have liked to use some 17" but didn't have any. Maybe when I sell some more chips and OBD-II software I can buy some track wheels and tires.

The track is Mostport International Raceway. Have a look here for info on our club events:

Great photos Mark. Nice to see you exercise the car and it looks like you were doing some good lines as well.

Looks nicely buttoned up Mark. How'd it feel? What tires were you running?

It felt very good. Just a bit of understeer. I was using Bridgestone S03's, 245/40/18. The car has adjustable Koni's all around and an RD strut brace. (plus my chip, already installed by the previous owner)

I don't think that I got above 200 km/hr during the times I looked at the speedo but there were a few times I felt I was faster, butr did not look.

    Hi Mark,

We won't tell them my speed at the end of the back straight. But maybe the fact that I out pulled the faster of the two yellow E46 M3 all the way up the straight might open the door to some guessing.

Could be that that is why Todd asked,,?

    Nice shots,
    Dave

I think Todd asked because he thought we went to the drag strip.

But I am wondering why my car seemed to be pulling slowly on the back stretch. I had expected to easily get it up to 225 or so.
