Default Rebuilding the shifter in my M3

Hey guys I'm taking some time to rebuild the shifter in my e30 M3. I'm not really needing a short shifter (can't afford one either), but would like some recommendations on rebuild kits for my stock shifter. I've seen kits at Bav Auto et al. Any experience with these kits? Anything special to look for or cost effective upgrages while I'm dirty?
    Thanks, Chuck

theres only about 3 parts that wear out on the shifter, the plastic cup, the knuckle on the selector rod on the back of the tranny and the rod that goes from the knuckle the the bottom of the shifter. optional parts, the seal for the selector shaft (it's about as big around as a quarter) output shaft seal (if not leaking leave alone, the selector shaft seal is usually the one leaking) flex coupler if it has one center bearing on the driveshaft and last but not least tranny mounts
all america wants is cold beer warm cat and a place to take a poop with a door on it
