Default Anyone know if the m5 steering box is a drop in for all e34s?

I read that the m5's box has a different ratio... has anyone considered buying one from a yard and replacing their standard one? Would it be a drop in replacement?

from a "yard" man if you find a wrecked M5, PLEASE let me know. I would kill for some parts from one.

Default believe so Allan...as alluded to my bimmerOOd....

your challenge will be to find a donor M5 box and of course the cost associated will be high as most yards know that M5 parts are rare and therefore precious....supply and demand.
