Mobil 1 0w40 seems great year round in Kentucky
Been running Mobil 1 15w50 year round. Just switched (last week) to Mobil 1 0w40 and car seems quieter on first start, smoother and seems to have a bit more get up and go. As we seldom see temperatures in Kentucky above 95 or below -10, 0w40 seems like a good choice.
BTW, my indy likes Mobil 1 15w50 on older cars. Says they were not really designed for lighter weight oils! It is my understanding that 0w40 is not just a lighter oil! Anyway, I followed the experiences of the board members in this case.
Just my 2 cents.
