    Default Clutch gone question???

    Hey guys,

    I have a 89 535IM. It seems like my clutch is slippin. How do u no when you clutch is going. right now when i start goin i am missing a lot of power.

    Could you tell me where to order parts from and how much it should cost to install.

    You may need a rear main seal. If it is leaking, the clutch would be oil soaked, causing the increased revs in higher gears without the appropriate vehicle acceleration.

    It seems like the throwout bearings wear out well before the clutch linings on the m30's. When they wear, the pedal becomes stiff the action goes to crap.

    I went with the e28 non-dual-mass flywheel. My clutch & rear seal were good, the release bearing was drier than an old nun's pussy, so I took the opportunity to change things. This eliminated the rattle at shutdown & saved some considerable reciprocating mass. It also makes for quicker blips & rev drops when shifting.
