Manual Seat Shock Replacement

Hi guys. Both my front seats are due for replacing of the pressurized shocks used for reclining the seats. I am about to purchase the parts however, I don't know how many pressurized shocks are needed per seat. 1 or a pair? Info on this would be greatly appreciated.
