    Default battery position

    i know this is a really ditsy, girl question, but i have recently got a BMW 525d. where is the battery? please help!

    Never owned a 525D but if the battery isn't up front under the hood I expect that you will find it under the rear seat cushion on the passenger side.

    If its an e34 I should be under the rear seat cushion, but if you've got something newer it'll be in the boot (trunk) under the carpet, probably on the right.

    there were also E34 with batteries under the hood, at least EURO versions. But 525d: which model and built year?

    E34s and E39s were TD/TDS so if it is really a 525D then it is probably an E60. In which case, this video will help:
