what were those struts? brand and part number? What a great result, no more bouncing over bumps and shaking through corners.
Well a very productive weekend, drove to Sydney on saturday and picked up some second hand front struts from a new bimmernut member
Driveright for a great price and spent some time sunday fitting them. What a great result, no more bouncing over bumps and shaking through corners. Thanks mate for the parts as the car now feels planted through everything, just like I remember it was when i got it.

The ones I got were OEM front struts ( front suspension) complete including springs and dampers down to wheel bearings, straight bolt in with no rebuild at all. This is a temporary change while I rebuild my old struts, in the end I will strip down and install strut inserts and new wheel bearings, top mounts plus clean and paint the housings and springs. My goal is to rebuild the suspension and stearing system right under the car. After 18 odd years it should extend the life giving many more years of "The ultimate driving machine".
