Puddle + power steering = No Power steering

Any suggestions as to the cause of this? Belt slipping when wet?

Cracked/ing pipe leaking?
Cracked pump housing
Cracked reservoir?

If it's a small puddle and you still have fluid level, maybe there's a blockage/failure causing extreme pressure.

I should have said WATER puddle as in rain. No leaking power steering fluid is present.

Is the belt tight?

I'll be checking belt tension and belt condition and a oil-leaking bolt on the front of the motor right after I change a thermostat housing, o-ring and bleeder on an e30. I'll report my findings.
