    Default Lost a good car...

The '93 318iS in my signature got totalled by a guy trying to beat a red light last Friday. My 20yo daughter was driving it (it was her car). Luckily she just has scapes and bruises, mostly from the air bag. It was a damn good car, had been through a lot of teenage driving and was always very dependable. It will be missed.... I'm looking at replacing it with another newer E36.

What's most important is that your daughter is OK. Car can be replaced...

So so sorry to hear about this! I just picked up an '01 E46 325i, and lost count of the number of airbags in this thing.

I am so glad your daughter is okay.

If you're thinking of another E34...Ginger's for sale.

I'll ask her about Ginger, but she thinks the 5ers are too big. I'm actually looking for a decent E46, but haven't found one I like yet. If you don't mind would you send me a PM with where you got yours and how much it was? I've seen a couple of decent by-owner ones, but they had pretty high mileage and other problems that made it seem like they weren't taken care of. Hard to believe what some people do to their cars!!

Tash - My four rules for happy driving:
    1) Don't hit anything
    2) don't let anything hit you
    3) obey traffic laws unless they would impede following rules 1 or 2
    4) Chill.... better to take a little longer to get where you're going than to drive like an idiot and put yourself and others at risk.
