engine oil leak found-I think

It appears to be leaking around the oil filter assembly. This is a M50 TU engine. Again, it could be the vanos oil line or oil pressure switch where they attache to the oil filter assembly.

Anyone have an idea on how involved it would be to replace the gasket where it mates to the block? Looks time consuming. Did not find this job in my Bentley.

It is time consuming but its not difficult. You were around here in the past when others have done it.. Bill B. did a write up with photos but its no longer
in the files must have gotten wiped out when Ed had to redo alot of Bimmer.info. Here's another link with a small amount of info on it

Thanks Bill. This link was helpful. It let me know I may not do this myself. Even so i am not sure it is not the vanos oil supply line
