    Default E36 M3 -- should I do it?

These cars are getting cheaper and cheaper. I'm seeing more and more nice examples in the 80K mile range for less than $10K. I think fuel prices are going to get so I was contemplating getting a Jetta TDI Wagon but these cheap M3's are getting extremely tempting..

    2nd car: hmmm....Jetta or M3?

I have an 1998 M3 since one year, has only 28k miles. First owner was a 70 year old man, driving the car only on the weekend for fun, did all inspections and services and maintenance at BMW, no hard driving and took care very well of the car. Like it very much, no probs so far, except I had to change the alternator.
It all depends on previous owner.
