somewhere Bill R had a write up on this.
On a friends car the Front right door wont open (pass side US), the lock opens and closes easy but it seems whoever installed the door forgot to hook the latch. Tried to remove the upper door panel without success and can't find straight info on how to do this.
Any help appreciated.

I remember that, it was for the rear doorFront door? You'd need to break through the door card I suspect...

Dude that just will not satisfy the owner of this car... guess that's what he gets for saving 25.00 to have someone else install them.
There has to be a way but looking at my own door when open I can't figure it out. Need the room to pop the panel up and when closed.. you know.

I just opened one yesterday that had a frozen lock actuator.
Remove the bottom sill and weatherstrip(no fun, I know) to get some wiggle room. The panel can then be removed by conventional means and some finesse for access to the inside workings.

Sounds like a possible doable situation. Just don't want to trash it, knew it was possible but sitting in the thing all contorted gets old really quick.
