    Default Getting a BC Indicator stalk for a 95 E34 525i

    Hey guys,

I've been looking around for an indicator stalk with the BC function on it that would suit a 95 E34 525i. I did the swap from date/temp to the OBC quite a few years ago now but never did the BC indicator swapover as I figured I didn't need it.

My steering wheel is now on its last legs and I already have a replacement wheel for it, I figured as it'll be off when I do the swapover, now's a good time to get the BC switch sorted as well.

I've been relying on eBay to try and search for a few applicable auctions, however it seems that in the case for the E34, no one's selling the lever by itself, it's all part of an 'OBC kit'. I figured that a lot of E32 parts are shared with the E34, and I have found a few E32 BC levers but I'm not sure if they are compatible with the E34 at all, as they all have different part numbers.

Does anyone with E32 and E34 experience (probably shogun! although I know it's hard for him to get online due to the tsunamis and earthquakes in Japan right now) know if there is a compatible E32 BC indicator lever I can use to substitute a "real" E34 one?

I am aware of different levers for different spec levels BTW. I have an airbagged E34, but without electric steering adjustment or headlight washers.

    TIA.

I'm also looking to swap the OBC stalk from my 1989 535i to my 1992 525i Touring.
I also swapped the 525i's clock for the 535i's OBC.
The catch appears to be the stalks differ between air bag and non air bag wheels.
I'm going to see if I can retain the main switch assembly in the 525i and just swap the stalk lever with the push button from the 535i.

Did you mean us cars as in "our cars" or as in cars sold in the US?

Also, the ones on eBay that have part numbers (annoying that many auctions don't put the part number in the description!) when plugged into RealOEM show that they're E32 only ie. don't show any E34 entries in the results.

Eg. BMW E32 Blinkerhebel BC Fernbedienung Hebel 1390982 (eBay item 330537758311 end time 03-Apr-11 04:42:03 AEST) : Auto Motorrad Teile, the part number there is 1 390 982 *7-digit number* and RealOEM doesn't know what this item is.

Another one... BMW E32 BLINKERHEBEL BC LENKSTOCKHEBEL MIT AIRBAG #30 (eBay item 390220213528 end time 18-Mar-11 00:14:27 AEDST) : Auto Motorrad Teile this one doesn't have a part number, I might ask the guy if he could provide it.

I'm just pretty confused that there's so many different part numbers for these things when they all look the same. The part number you quoted Paul is the one I got from RealOEM too, but I'm having no luck finding the indicator lever that matches this exact part number, just a whole heap of different ones.
