Loose Driver Door Window

This ever happen to anyone? Let down the window on the dirver door and it seems to have come loose. The pane is not broken, and the motor still runs, but the window is loose in the channel - like whatever adhesive that held it gave up. I am assuming that the lift pantograph thing is intact - certainly no noise to indicate that it is broken or askew in any way.
Haven't had a chance to open up the door panel, but if anyone has experience, I'd appreciate any input.
If it just got loose and came out of the frame, is silicone okay to re-secure it?

Common problem. There are 2 plastic ball & socket brackets on the bottom rail. One probably broke or popped out. Sometimes the metal retainer clip pops off & you might find it in the bottom of the door. Replacement piece is part number 51 32 1 938 884, $1.89 at AutohausAZ, maybe $3-4 at the dealer.

Thanks, Gale - took it open this afternoon and found exactly that - both clips were beat up pretty good and seriously gunked up. One was popped out, but both will get replaced.
