Default When I purchased mine from BMA in 2001, here were the numbers and prices:

It did dress up that corner of the engine bay. I guess they felt that every extra pound on the 525 was detrimental...

    64 11 1 388 000 - $12.51 item 20 ETK Group EPC, Diagrams 64_0114 Water valve/Water hose

    64 11 1 388 004 3 qty. required capnuts

Sounds like you have a superseded part number. You can check part supercession history on the ETK...

Default Thanks- how much were the capnuts?

My dealer stated about $7.00 each for the 64 11 1 388 004 capnuts. The capnuts I have on my car (will not attach to the cover) are simple nuts with a flat washer attached.

BTW, the techs at my local dealer thought that the 6 cylinder e34s did not have the cover. Perhaps only the V8.

    Thanks again,

Default I paid WAY too much ($6.62 each) at my dealer. That was before BMA, I believe!

Check with Patrick and Yves. They'll get you a better deal.

I have a 1991 UK 525i and there is no cover on mine, so not all Euro models have them either.

Default Not the main water pump

This is the secondary/ pump and valve assembly at the rear of the engine compartment.
