I never saw a "fix" once the knob's broken inside.
A bit of tape wrapped on the lever and some persuassion reinstalling the knob has always been my temporary solution.
The factory shift knob on my 535 occasionally pops off. I recall there was a fix for this - anyone know the link? Can't seem to find the fix in the archives.

"The gas pedal wouldn't go to the floor if it weren't meant to be there"
Thanks Ross. I actually did something along those lines over the weekend and it's better now.

I fixed mine with some super glue. I have to re-glue it every two years, which is totally fine by me.
When mine flew off in traffic mid shift I finally replaced it with this which secures by screws.
