If it is not leaking, it won't leak. If you do happen to drop the pan, then tighten up that oil pump while you are at it. Common to find those bolts loose.
I am considering switching to Addinol synthetic oil and thought to my self it is a good idea to replace the pan gaskets after 180K on the upper one and 50k on the lower one.
Is it straight forward job or will it involve specific tricks?
Thanks guys!

I bought both gaskets but installed only the lower one even with the engine removed on the stand. The lower gasket is metal. The upper paper.
Don't think it can be done easily in car. Look at what your are faced with.

This is the oil pan of the engine I scrapped.
Then I bought this 66k M60B40 for $800 and change. The oil pan,
Still I removed the oil pump. Took it apart and loctited all eleven M6 bolts.

Thanks guys for your feedbacks. The leaking source is the O-Ring that seals oil leveling switch, I also noticed very light oil remnants on the upper gasket but it's not leaking. I thought it would be a good idea to replace both gaskets as I am switching to synthetic oil. Now I'd definitly check the oil pump bolts.
Thanks for the pictures!
not to be rude but that oil looks like crap!
how old is it? how often do you change it? Dino or Syn?
Then again it could just be the lighting...
Love the detailed pics though...great job man!!!
