I know you guys like pictures, so I thought I'd crosspost this here
One of the most annoying things that happens to the V12s is that the intake manifold gaskets lose their seal over time, leading to rough running at startup. Verry annoying and extremely frustrating when it gets to the point that it wont even run properly when warm!
So, spying the 4 day weekend, I thought I'd strip 'em down and reseal them, doing a bit of cleaning and painting like any good petrol head, took a few photos while I was going:

And please... noone preach to me about the cone filters, I got enough of that on the other forum...
Looks great, Ferret!

You did a real nice job on the cleanup and painting. I'll bet she runs like brand new now too!
Good work!
Nice work.
Love the dishwasher, bachelor, eh.

The gaskets are unholy expensive, if you get them quoted for the full set of four at a dealer (which sadly, is the only place you'll find them...) you *will* swear out loud when you hear the price. I did, and got some funny looks.
You're looking at well over 500USD for the set of four. Four gaskets!
I took the existing ones off, slathered them in some sort of rubbery loctite flexible gasket compound and refitted them - seems to be working so far... they weren't in that bad a shape but someone had already had a go at this job!
