Fresh air intake point for blower [ventilation]

folks, is there a good picture out there showing where the blower takes in fresh air.

my blower cover and surrounding area is pretty mucked up and caked with lotsa dirt.

my blower cover and surrounding area is pretty mucked up and caked with lotsa dirt.

Raise the hood and look at grill at the windshield base. Just remove anything blocking it.

Have you recently changed your cabin filter? If not changed the volume of air drops a lot. Google for how to do so. search for Several DIY on most e34 boards. May also be in the Bentley manual.
