Default OT: 8 year costs to own a ferrari

"..Torchinski v. Peterson that it is legal to carry a concealed weapon, so long the weapon is totally slick like a huge ass machine gun that you carry under a trench coat, like in the Matrix."

Dude! That's so expensive! No wonder Jay Leno said buy the older one... older than I think he said 1994... because anything after that, you can't fix it... and a handheld diagnostic scanner cost $22,000. Older Ferrari can be self serviced but the newer one... you are screwed... that's what Jay Leno said.

Default My fave quote from the article:

"In March, at 22,956 miles, the license plate frame was replaced for $124.99"

What kind of retard cannot take a screwdriver and replace his own frame? Is this some secret special frame we are not aware of? He deserves every bill associated with the car if he is that lazy or stupid!

Maybe the USD 124 was for parts and the rest labour? The car is a nice colour but he could have picked a nicer one to throw his money at. (My apologies to purists who dont approve if you end a sentence with a preposition. I could have said 'at which to throw his money' but that costs another USD300 because we are talking about a Ferrari)

Wow. I wonder how much was actually labour. I wouldn't imagin Ferrari mechanics being paid bugger all.

the service for the older models is just as expensive and time consuming. A friend used to maintain a Testarossa, and they are very difficult to work on. The labour and parts costs for the scheduled servicings are INCREDIBLE.

There are no cheap Ferrari's, aside from perhaps the GTS.
