Default Oil pressure and crank case ventilation?

Just a newbie question about oil pressure:

    1) Can crankcase ventilation issues cause oil pressure problems?

What oil pressure problems are you having? Is it not wear related?

Thanks Guys! I was chatting with a E32 735i guy who’s having some low oil pressure problems on startup. I’ve only had issues with my 535i in the late fall when the temperature dropped and I didn’t change over from summer weight to winter weight (20-50 to 0-30); 0W30 always fixes the problem so it isn’t my oil canister. I suggested he check his oil canister and he mentioned that restricted crankcase ventilation could cause such a problem and I’d never heard of it (there was also some confusion regarding static vs. dynamic pressure; fluid dynamics).

M30 low oil pressure is probably a canister problem, its simple to confirm. Let the car sit overnight. Pull lid off canister quickly - if its empty then you have a bad check valve.

The only problem that excessive crankcase pressure will cause is blown seals.

That's what I was thinking; thanks for the confirmation plus the tip. I'll update the thread when I find out more....
