Where in Australia do you buy these 2 parts cabin filters at reasonable prices? Link?
I read in AUS you pay at the dealer $144.00 AUD

I tried the translation tool and it came up with some odd phrases:
'Dysentery carved from black to break the log'
    'Detachable flannel sheets'
But my favourite has got to be:
'Pull rope to hang above the steering wheel'
As you say, enough pics to make good sense of it. Shame we cant read his other write-ups. Thanks for posting it!

Default Pictures dont always tell the full story

There may be variations from car to car but I just found the following:
    1. The guy in Taiwan doesnt appear to have any heater conduit attached to the panel where the chime lives. I do! So suggest you dont just go tugging away at that panel when you have undone the screws. Do the cowl first:
    2. Lower steering column cowl is secured by 4 screws. 2 are visible in the recess for the lever. BUT you have to take the wheel off to get at the other 2
which are right at the top of the column
    3. The screw that holds the yellow plastic end piece is a T20, not a X-head.
Luckily I have a T20 screwdriver but if you have the type that accepts bits, it probably wont fit down the hole!
    4. You might find you dont have enough play in the wire to remove the black control box. I just (carefully) cut the cable tie that secures the loom to the bottom of the dash
    5. Mine had a single piece filter which I had to bend a bit to get out. So I will be replacing it with the 2 piece.
I dont have a clutch pedal so I have got a little bit more room

That guy is from Thailand, not Taiwan. Good point that you mention that he has no heater. I have seen many cars in Thailand without heater, they do not need it, just cooooling.

Question: where to buy the 2 piece filter for RHD in the U.K.?
Someone from Australia was asking me, as he paid AU$ 144.00 at the dealer in Australia for the E34 in RHD version.

Understand the bit about the heater, but dont they divert any of that nice cool air onto your feet?
The ads I have seen are only for the 1 piece and thats useless. Will check around and post dealer/other prices for the 2 piece as soon as poss

Unable to find 2 piece microfilter so far but Ferret has given me a lead to check out. Dealer price for one piece filter part 64318350016 is £24.41 including VAT. Factors charge about the same. Unfortunately, thats for a euro spec car and isnt listed for mine which is ZA spec. So even if I got the 2 piece I still wouldnt be sure it would fit. Happy days
