When you get strange messages on your check control in your cluster like
ESD regelt
it is time to repair the CCM, info here in German language, but many pics so you can understand what to do

Wish I had that in english. My display is occasionally going into "Vegas Mode", where it displays random symbols and flashes and may eventually just turn off. Next time I start the car, everything will be fine. I thougth the problem would be in the display itself, but this looks like it may be in the CCM unit?

up with this one, I just resoldered the resistors R60, R61 and R62 in the CCM and no more strange check control warnings in the instrument cluster. Not too complicated, enough pics in the link how to open it and where to solder, even if you do not understand German language
