E36 M3 steering wheel fitment

Hello,
I have searched and found a lot of stuff on yes it will fit but I was wondering if anyone has a write up on the procedure. I have gotten the E36 M3 steering wheel and attempted to install it tonight but found that it isnt a direct fit and I thought it may be with the use of my slip ring. I dont want to cut things without knowing for sure with a write up on the job. I want to thank you all for the help.

Thanks Bo, I did find that one also but wasnt sure which way to install mine. In the pictures on the site it doesnt show my wheel. I just dont want to cut wires and be wrong you know what I mean. I emailed frankie and asked him which one of the versions I should use. I havent heard from him so I will study it harder and see if the answer is right in front of my face.
