Anyone used Mobil 1 turbo diesel 5w40 in a BMW 525i-Opinion? I heard somewhere it was an excellent choice for our cars. Very robust. did a couple of searches. Came up with limited info. TIA

I've heard that about M30s and M20s, no idea about the M50TU though

Diesel engine oil just have more detergents right?

That is true. However, I think there are other differences. Supposedly It can help clean sludge and other crap from your engine.

put it in my 530 and seems quieter but then again against dead old synthetic conventional oil would have probably done the job. Seems good so far and picked up almost 1 MPG with it.
