I almost forgot, next saturday bimmerd00d and his buddies are doing my 5 speed conversion on my $500 donor ride. Its a real beauty and I'm the most blessed man alive. Anyway, I'm strongly considering doing the e28 flywheel + clutch since its going to be off and this clutch has plenty of mileage on it.
So can I just order up a clutch kit from BMA or what?
You still need to find a flywheel E28 (best is the 533i one lighter) get it resurfaced and lightened if you want.
Then get a E28 save vintage clutch kit and voila. Get also new tranny seals, fluid, flywheel bolts (different length), and rear crankshaft seal, along with the bearing and all the usual 5 speed swap items.
