    Default Hello!

MTech spring part numbers - these are for a 535 - What car does Kamil actually drive? If not a 535, I can dig up the correct part numbers - I think the ETK I have here will still show them properly....

    31 33 2 226 669 front
    33 53 2 226 672 rear

Note the '2' central to the part number. That denotes an "///M" part, all stock parts have a '1' in that location, including the "Low Slung" or "Sport" spring parts.

I ordered from Paul at Maximillian Importing, web site as Drew noted. I understand that Paul is no longer there, but Max should still be able to get the parts. I tend to think that a smaller shop like Max or BMA will have a better chance of getting these parts together than a dealership, as the dealerships have probably never had a request for anything like this before and will pass along list prices. For reference, in early 2002 I got the set of 4 springs for $289 - a bargain in my book.

    You guys are awesome!!!!!

Sorry, I was at work (I work nights) and I could not post.

Should I also go w/ the 3mm spring pads as pointed by Drew in the other thread?

    Thank you SO much!!!

Yes, use the 3mm spring pads. From memory, I think the last 3 digits of the part no. are 523. I think they were spec'ed for the cars with EDC suspensions. Have the parts guy use VIN GA65485 (from my 540i Sport donor car) to pull up the pn for the spring pads.

Default Excellent - good choice -

Glad things are working out well there. The 3mm pads are the way to go. Good choices all around.
